More and more great producers are appearing in Slovakia. But few of them have such a distinctive handwriting as Blame Your Genes. The solo project of Lukáš Zdurienčík from the group Elections In The Deaftown is like taking a ride in a shiny DeLorean from Back to the Future at sunset. Broken beats are blasting from the exhausts, 80’s aesthetics sit comfortably in the passenger seat and everything is controlled by a tireless dance drive. The Planets album, which was released two years ago on the German label Traum Schallplatten, sounds familiar and at the same time incredibly fresh.
